If you’re brand new to working with clay or would like to become more familiar with pottery techniques before enrolling in either our regular and ongoing 4-week or 12-week sessions, then we highly recommend taking one of our workshops first.
We offer 2 kinds of class packages and 2 kinds of enrollments to our students:
Practice Time is available to students who are currently enrolled in ongoing classes. You must have taken at least one session of your mixed levels class and be familiar with setting up the wheel to throw and all cleaning procedures to use the studio for practice time. Please ask your instructor if you have any questions. Reserve Practice Time here.
Students can throw, trim, hand-build, and glaze during Practice Time at no additional cost. A studio tech will be on-site during Practice Time, but they will not be available to offer instruction. The goal of Practice Time is to support the quality of your pottery practice with extra time in between classes. If you have any doubts about how to do something on your own, such as trimming and glazing, please ask your instructor for assistance during class time before attempting to practice during Practice Time.
You are responsible for using the studio with care and leaving it as clean or cleaner than you found it. Late-cancellations, no-shows, and students who do not clean up after themselves may have the privilege of Practice Time revoked.
