Join us for an intro to the potter’s wheel! This is a great class for beginners, or anyone who just wants a refresher on the basics. In addition to step-by-step instruction to make your own wheel-thrown masterpieces, you will learn the basics behind all the ceramics buzzwords: trimming, coiling, handbuilding, throwing, glazing and firing and have a wonderful introduction to our studio.
Learning to throw on the wheel is challenging, fun, and even relaxing!
After the class, our studio staff will trim and glaze your artwork – it will be fired and ready for pick up within 4 – 5 weeks. Once you take your pieces home, they will be a permanent reminder of your evening with us and you new creative skills.

We have to admit it — we are feeling the duration of this pandemic pretty acutely. Being able to find space for creativity, play and exploration feels more important now than ever. Because our on-site offerings are necessarily limited, we have been creating as many remote pottery-learning opportunities as we can. And so, for those who want flexibility in the timing of their lesson, we have created the perfect quarantine activity: On Demand Handbuilding! It’s like streaming a movie, but you get to make pottery instead! Our On-Demand projects are perfect for makers aged 6 and up! These projects are great for family time; for date night; for alone time; or for remote or socially distanced activities with friends.

We kept getting e-mails from adults wanting to join our online classes for kids… so we came up with a series of online handbuilding classes for adults! This is a great introduction to the limitless possibilities of handbuilding ceramic objects for potters at all levels.
