Independent Creative Time
Do you have previous experience and want time to practice? Creative Time is a great option for potters who are comfortable working in a studio independently.
Creative time includes access to all studio materials, tools, glazes, a personal shelf, and firing for up to 20 points of pottery made at the studio (see points chart below for more details). Staff will answer questions, but will not offer lessons or hands-on guidance.
We do not fire work made at home or outside the studio.
Independent Creative Time
6-Pack Bundle: $275 for 6 sessions (valid for 65 days from date of purchase)
Drop In: $75 (*for returning students only)
Individual Session Time: 3 hours
Open to Ages 18+
Creative Time is only for those approved by our studio. To get approved, click “Get Approved” below.
Required experience: Two 6-Week Courses at Good Dirt LA, OR One 6-Week Course at Good Dirt LA with approval of your instructor, OR consideration based on previous experience and work samples.

Find the link to our creative time portal in your Creative Time approval email to purchase a bundle or individual visit. Please do not share the links or passwords.

*New visitors must schedule their first Creative Time visit during these times for a facilities overview and shelf setup: Mondays 12:30–3:30pm, Wednesdays 12:30–3:30pm, or Saturdays 9:00am–12:00pm.
Creative Time Schedule
9:00am –12:00pm Mondays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays
12:30pm–3:30pm Tuesdays and Wednesdays
6:00pm–9:00pm Sundays (often)
7:00pm–10:00pm Wednesdays
*We usually offer this schedule but occasionally make changes, which will be reflected in the booking system.
Cancellation Policy for Creative Time:
Change or cancel sessions online up to 24 hours before session. Full credit will be issued for cancelled drop ins. For 6-Pack Bundles, credit returns to the bundle automatically for cancelled sessions. No refunds or credits are given for missed sessions.
Canceling after the 24-hour mark will result in the loss the session. See Studio Policies for exceptions.
Creative Time Etiquette
All Creative Time visitors must keep the studio clean and respect each other's space and time. Leave the studio as clean or cleaner than you found it and use the space only during your scheduled session. Failure to clean up or leave on time may result in losing studio permission.
Interested in Creative Time but need some additional guidance?
We offer one weekly "Creative Time with a Teacher" session. These sessions are ideal for questions about techniques, materials, or equipment, or for demos.
Saturdays 9:00am–12:00pm
A tech may be on site during Creative Time to answer brief questions but will focus on studio management and not provide hands-on instruction.
What happens to my Creative Time Shelf if I don’t have a Current 6-Pack?
Due to limited space, we can't accommodate inactive shelves. Priority is given to active 6-Pack Bundles.
If you're out of the studio for over 2 weeks, clear your shelf or email us your return plans (Subject: Creative Time - Returning Soon Month/Day). Any remaining work will be boxed for your pick-up.
